PhD thesis rounding up

It's official! My PhD thesis is one step closer to a finish! The abstract, title and mentor have been officially confirmed at University of Arts Senate.

Drum roll please! It's titled "Slovo o slovu: kratki digitalni narativi o tipografiji" (Word on Letter: short digital naratives about typography)

[ ᴇxʜɪʙɪᴛɪᴏɴ ] Tipos Latinos Vol.2

As a addition to Tipos Latinos Vol.1, Instituto Cervates in Belgrade organized a typographic competition and exhibition featuring 14 finalist. The opening was on the 22nd of June as an official celebration Día del español in Belgrade.

Tipos Latinos Vol. 1

TipoLatinos 2012 stopped for a while in Belgrade. 76 posters were on display from 9th of May untill 20th of June in Instituto Cervates gallery. Here are few snapshots.

::: Design In Progress 08 ::: Strela

Another recently approved project but still a Design in Progress is the identity for Strela Archery Shop. In Serbian strela means arrow so I customized letters to resemble the bow and arrow. Also,I increased velocity and movement by making the logo bit italic.

More of the project is yet to come :)

Work in Progress ::: Opening credits and identity for a documentary by young and talented Bojana S. Knežević. The quest for the perfect man - emotionally, sexually, intellectually and physically told by 4 men.

Cetinje:: typographic journey

On 12th of July 2012 I was one of the commission members for MA thesis at Montenegro's Faculty of Fine Arts at Cetinje (Fakultet likovnih umetnosti na Cetinju). The candidate, graphic designer and typographer Adela Zejnilović, under the awake eyes of mentors Olivera Stojadinović and Ana Matić did a detailed analysis of Montenegrin historic scripts and reconstruction and digitalization of three typefaces: Njegoš, Oktoih and Serdar. Excellent work!
